This painting was inspired by my granddaughter Lily who is always taking a “Closer Look” at the details in literally everything: animals, bugs, flowers, people… Just watching her constantly reminds me, that there is so much wonder and beauty around me, that I am missing, because I am walking too fast. So if I go on a walk with her, I have to plan accordingly.
