My photo was taken and the painting almost complete before Hurricane Helene came and flooded this beautiful river and landmark of Elizabethton, TN 10.28.24.

Hurricane Helene

My family or I have never experienced the effects of a hurricane anywhere near us…. until now…our little town of Elizabethton TN along with so many other towns in Eastern TN, SC, NC, FL & GA received alot of damage September 26, 2024. Our family was extremely fortunate, that we received only minor damage, but having seen our neighbors, friends and strangers close by lose so much, it has forever impacted us. We wanted to do something to help and I have created a greeting card series with actual photos of some of the damage, but also focusing on the strength, spirit and resiliency of the wonderful people of the Appalachian area. The cards will sell as a set of 10 asst. card and 25% of the sale will go towards rebuilding homes for those who were affected by the Hurricane.

This was our personal experience the day of….:) i was a little nervous at the time and gave the wrong date in the video, sorry about that, but thought you might like to see our personal experience.
